During a detox cure you only use nutrients that contribute to your detoxification (basic food, fiber-rich food, fruit or juice, smoothies, etc.).

1. Why should you follow a detox cure?

2. What are ways to detox your body?
There are different types of detox cures and detox programs. Which one you choose depends of course on what you like and what suits you. The most common forms are:
Juice cure or smoothie diet. A juice cure or smoothie diet consists of drinking juices and smoothies that consist of a lot of vegetables and a little fruit. You do not eat anything else for 5 to 7 days.In this course, the construction and dismantling are very important. It is not good for your body not to eat anything immediately or to eat a hot meal in one go after your cure. You have to build and dismantle this quietly. You can do this form of detox once every six months or once a year.
One meal a day. The name says it all (also known as ‘one meal a day’), this type of detox means that you do not have breakfast, lunch and dinner, but only take one meal a day around 3 p.m. . You also drink a lot of water and tea. You do not eat at other times than at 3 o’clock. This way of eating is called fasting.
